Meet the team at Tempest Ford
Having worked in the Motor Trade since 1983, Jeremy has 33 years of industry experience behind him and is passionate about providing the highest levels of customer care. "I am very proud of the team here at Tempest. You can only give the best service through having the right team of people, and I believe we have that here."
Although an experienced member of the service team for some years now, Chris has only recently formally qualified as a Ford Technician. He has a broad Main Dealer background and has a passion for fixing cars. When not working, he enjoys bodybuilding at his local gym.
Senior Service Advisor
Sharon has worked on site as a Service Advisor for over 13 years and has a wealth of experience of both Ford and other makes. Her focus on complete customer satisfaction is just one of the reasons for our success as a dealership and she has the amazing ability to remember the names of our customers from their vehicle registrations!
Brian spent a long and successful career with Procter & Gamble before taking early retirement to achieve a lifelong ambition to become an antique dealer. However, following the demise of MG Rover, Brian took the opportunity in 2006 to invest in the newly acquired Ford franchise at Tempest and, with the support of the current management team, they have established a highly successful business selling New and Used Ford cars and servicing Ford and MG Rover vehicles. Brian has also become enthusiastically involved with the business community in Lichfield and co hosts the Lichfield Business Connect Breakfast Networking Meeting each month at Lichfield Rugby Club. He is still active in antiques, exhibiting at the NEC and other local fairs and specialising in Royal and Military commemoratives.
Sue has been an antique dealer for over 30 years and, at one stage before her retirement, was one of the most successful Antique Glass dealers in the country. She started working full time at Tempest in 2009 and has worked in almost every department in the company. Her principal responsibility currently is managing the company database but do not be surprised if Sue appears at your front door as she enjoys helping out with our collection and delivery service.
Phil has worked at the Lichfield site man and boy and has experience in Austin, Morris, Wolsey, Triumph, MG, Rover and now Ford franchises. Phil has always loved motor sport and used to compete in the distant past but now enjoys guiding his son Harry around Wales and the Border counties watching Road Rallies. When time permits he loves walking, cycling, body boarding and building sand castles.
Jeanette or Netty has been employed at the dealership for 20 years starting in the Service Department as Service Receptionist and ran the department for 2 years. She moved into the Sales Department to join the New Car Sales team. After a year Jeanette attended a Motability training course and passed with flying colours and now heads up our successful fleet of over 300 cars. At home her first love is her children Grace and David but a close second are her horses. She is a keen recreational rider now and a past cross country and dressage competitor.
Is our Used car specialist. He joined the Sales team at Tempest 6 years ago and in addition to his Showroom duties, plays a key role managing the Used Car section of the company website. His home is in Wellington, Shropshire, where he spends his spare time with his wife Sue and his two sons, Edward and Sam. Sam suffers from Angelman Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, so all Ross's spare time is dedicated to the family.
Rob is the newest member of our Sales Team has been with us for 4 years. We were fortunate to employ him after Spot Garage closed in 2011. He took up the role of New and Used car Sales Executive with an emphasis on Motability and Commercial Sales. A keen Mountain Bike rider and runner Rob is a member of Lichfield City Cycling club and enjoys racing together with his 8 year old son Tom
Julie has been employed here for over 30 years working for the various owners. Her current role is now multi focused, looking after the company's daily cashflow, managing the accounts and vehicle administration. Married to Matthew with an 21 year old daughter Naomi, most of their spare time is spent walking or cycling around Chasewater Nature Reserve.
Penny has also been employed here for over 30 plus years working alongside Julie. Penny's role is now also multi focused, keeping the salesmen in line administratively and processing the purchasing side of accounts. Married to Mark with a teenage son Andrew, most of their spare time is spent taking Andrew (a very keen and good bowler) to bowls matches and watching football.
Business Development Manager
Simon began working at Tempest Ford over 10 years ago as a valeter for new and used cars. When the opportunity arose for Simon to work indoors and not have to get wet everyday he took it and has trained to be a very competent Partsman. After nearly 3 years as a Partsman Simon again had the opportunity to head in another direction within the dealership to Tempest Ford`s Business Development Manager. In that role Simon works on Tempest Ford`s marketing campaigns such as advertising and sponsorship work within the local community.
Darren has worked for the company since it was formed, as a Technician as well as in his current role, where he is responsible for the day to day running of the workshop. He has a broad range of experience gain he enjoys squeezing a few extra horsepower out of his Focus ST
The newest member of our team, Mike brings expertise in Transit Service and Repair at which he specialises, as well as having a broad Ford Main Dealer background. When he is not working, he and his partner share a passion for horses and spend time riding.
Steve is one of the longest serving and experienced members of staff, having worked on site since 1984. Originally trained as a technician, Steve spent many years working in the Bodyshop before returning to 'the spanners'.
Nick is one of our most experienced MOT testers, and an integral part of the team here at Tempest. His unfailing sense of humour, as well as his broad knowledge and commitment help us to provide a great service to our customers.
Jordan joined the team as an Apprentice Technician in 2011. Jordan passed his training in 2014 and is now an extremely competent Fully Qualified Ford Technician. However his tea making skills still need work.
Warranty and Service Administrator
Chris started off his career with Tempest as an apprentice technician, but then applied for the position of Warranty and Service Administrator, and is now responsible for overseeing our Warranty operations, as well as supporting both the Service Advisors at busy times. In 2014 Chris passed his Level 3 Customer Service Qualification.
Tracy joined the company from outside the industry, and has quickly adapted to the demands of a busy dealership, bringing a new dimension to our customer care. Her love of the Ford car she owns is only eclipsed by her passion for supporting Aston Villa.
Lee began working at the dealership over 9 years ago as a service technician in the workshop. Whilst at Tempest Lee has progressed to warranty supervisor combining his technical knowledge in a more administrative role and also providing cover in our parts department. Upon the retirement of our Parts Manager Lee naturally took over and added yet another string to his bow. Outside of work Lee enjoys playing golf and is a regular supporter of Birmingham City FC.
Sam joined the Tempest Ford Parts Department in August 2013. He joined the team straight from leaving Cardinal Griffin High School in Cannock. In his spare time he enjoys riding on his mountain bike over Cannock Chase he also enjoys watching Motorsport such as F1 and British Touring Cars. He loves everything about Ford cars his dream car would be the new Focus RS, however for his first car he chose a VW Lupo! (his choice I suppose).
