Our Ford kinetic Design approach has helped create a bold, modern vehicle with a dynamic, expressive style – and more than a dash of its original cheeky spirit. Large, swept-back headlights combine with the prominent new grille that almost seems to smile at you, while bold wheel lips, strong shoulders and sweeping lines help give the Ka a chunky, assured look.

The Ka comes with a new colour range inspired by strong pastel shades available as bold solid and metallic finishes. There are also two striking, pearlescent colours available: the sparkling white Piste and the luscious Blush both enhance the Ka’s ‘wow’ factor.

The Ka’s interior has a stylish, dynamic design with bold contrasts, expressive colours and imaginative details. The pearl white centre console is inspired by iconic modern design classics. The Ka features a brand new six-speaker sound system with a CD player that also reads MP3 files, so you can burn several albums onto one disc and travel light. There’s also a mini jack socket to connect your MP3 player. The optional Advance Music Pack includes a separate amplifier, upgraded speakers and a 100 w subwoofer for earth-shaking bass. The very latest speakers from Pioneer offer unrivalled sound quality as well as gorgeous contemporary styling that will perfectly complement the interior of the Ka.

Bluetooth® with Voice Control
The Bluetooth® with Voice Control system and USB let you make, receive or refuse calls using your voice or the steering wheel controls. You can also hold three-way conversations with two separate numbers (if your mobile phone permits). Plus, it lets you play music in a variety of formats from a memory stick or MP3 player via the USB connection.

Hot or cold: how do you like it?
Whether you need to stay chilled or make things a little cosier, the Ka’s climate control makes it effortless. Simply set the temperature and it maintains it at just the right level.

A warm welcome

Easier, safer reversing with a rear view camera
The Rear View Camera displays whatever’s behind you on a screen built into your rear view mirror. As well as showing you things you might miss, virtual lines guide you into the smallest of spaces. For added convenience, the Rear View Camera activates automatically when you select reverse gear.

Sensors that take the stress out of parking
Optional Parking Distance Sensors help you judge the distance between your car and any obstacle, in front or behind you. They set off an audible warning that intensifies, the closer you get. The feature is designed to help you park quickly and confidently.

Cruise control makes longer drives more relaxed
You can set the Fiesta’s speed using steering wheel-mounted toggles. The system then maintains that speed, so there’s no need to keep your foot on the accelerator. To go faster or slower, you simply use the same manual controls.

Power-assisted steering that uses less power
The Fiesta has electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) that automatically adjusts to suit the situation. So if you’re driving in the city, travelling at low speeds or parking, the system makes wheel turns feel lighter and easier to give you greater manoeuvrability. At higher speeds, EPAS makes the steering firmer to deliver more control and confidence.

Unlike most systems, which are continuously on, EPAS only activates when needed. So it uses less energy, further improving fuel economy.

Life with the Fiesta is always that bit easier. It means not having to rummage for your car keys or being able to see the way from your car to your front door at night.

Key-free means hassle-free
The Ford KeyFree System lets you lock and unlock your car, without having to take your key out of your pocket or bag. Ideal when you’ve got your hands full.

Start your car with the touch of a button
There’s no need to use your key. Simply push the Ford Power Starter Button while holding the clutch down (or brake pedal on an automatic) and the engine fires into life.

A convenient centre console that puts you in control
The Fiesta’s advanced, multi-functional centre console enables you to control many of the car’s systems from one place. All the functions are clearly displayed on screen and you can access many of them via toggles on the steering wheel too. Like everything else in the Fiesta, the centre console is designed to be as good-looking as it is efficient.

For hands-free safety: Bluetooth® with voice control
You can control your music, make or take calls and adjust the in-car temperature (if optional Electronic Automatic Temperature Control is fitted), just by using your voice. This means you don’t have to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road. Using a Bluetooth® connection, you can also stream music wirelessly from an iPod or mobile phone to your car radio.

Simply plug in and play your MP3 player
You can connect devices without Bluetooth® functionality using the Fiesta’s USB port, a jack or Y-cable. This means you can play MP3 music files on a memory stick, iPod or other MP3 player, through the vehicle’s audio system. To control your music, there are handy toggles on the steering wheel.

Wipers that automatically adjust to the rain
Rain-sensing wipers spring into action the instant they detect moisture on your windscreen, then adjust their speed to deal with whatever the weather throws at you. You can even choose from six sensitivity levels, which determine how much moisture builds up before the wipers clear it. Rain-sensing wipers are available as an option with auto-headlights (see below).

Headlights that turn on automatically when needed
It’s not always easy to notice when daylight is fading. But the Fiesta has sensors that detect failing light and trigger the auto-headlights to turn themselves on. This makes driving at dusk easier and safer. They also turn on automatically when you enter a tunnel. Auto-headlights are available as an option with rain-sensing wipers (see above).

Stay as cool or cosy as you like
With optional Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) you just select the exact interior temperature you like and the system maintains it with advanced air conditioning.

Self-protecting electric door mirrors
To avoid accidental damage, optional power-foldable mirrors automatically fold inwards when the car is locked (or when you use the mirror adjustment switch). When tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.

Fiesta lights your way to your door
When you arrive home at night, you just flash the left stalk and Fiesta’s Home Safe headlights will stay on for a while, lighting the way to your front door. So there’s no more tripping over unseen obstacles or navigating puddles in the dark. The feature is standard across the whole range.

Ford Easy-Fuel, for foolproof filling-up
This makes it almost impossible to put the wrong fuel in your car, because the wrong nozzle simply won’t fit. And as Ford Easy-Fuel is a capless system, you’ll never have to handle a dirty fuel cap again.

Whether your priority is fuel economy, performance, low CO2 emissions or you want a no-compromise mixof all three, the Ford Fiesta has an engine to suit.

Diesels improved in every way
The Fiesta’s 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre Duratorq engines have been redesigned to make them more responsive, more economical and cleaner. For even lower CO2 emissions, both engines also have a Coated Diesel Particulate Filter, which removes up to 95% of the soot particles from the exhaust.

Petrol for power and economy
The Fiesta gives you a range of light 16-valve petrol engines to choose from. They start with the economical 1.25-litre Duratec and increase in power up to the top-of-the-range Ti-VCT, producing an impressive 134 PS. With the 1.4 Durateq, you’ve got the option of manual or automatic transmission too.

The Fiesta’s range of ECOnetic Technologies allows it to produce significantly less CO2, without compromising on performance or driving pleasure.

ECOnetic Technology engine: for plenty of power but low emissions
The Fiesta’s ECOnetic Technology engine and 5-speed transmission have been modified to deliver the same torque as the 1.6-litre Duratorq diesel, but with better fuel economy (85.6 mpg) and just 87g/km of CO2. It even has a Coated Diesel Particulate Filter (C-DPF), which burns or cleans off up to 95% of the soot particles from the exhaust as the engine runs.

A smart info system to help you drive more efficiently
The innovative Ford Eco Mode system continually assesses the effects of your driving behaviour on your fuel consumption. It reads your speed, gear shifting, braking and anticipation levels, plus the proportion of short to long trips. Its smart software then advises you on how to improve your fuel economy, according to your unique driving style.

More features to improve economy and reduce emissions
From smart technology to special tyres, a whole range of other ECOnetic technologies help you reduce your fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

• Power assisted steering that uses less power. Unlike most systems, the Fiesta’s electronic power-assisted steering only activates when needed - so it uses less energy, improving fuel economy.
• Shift Indicator for fuel-efficient gear changes. For maximum fuel efficiency, a light on the instrument panel tells you when to change gear.
• Lowered suspension improves aerodynamics. The lower height of the Fiesta reduces drag, which in turn, helps to lowers fuel consumption.
• Rear wheel air deflectors reduce drag. Air deflectors control the airflow over the rear wheels and arches. This reduces drag and lift, which further improves aerodynamics and consequently fuel economy.
• Advanced tyres help save fuel. Low rolling resistance tyres are designed to meet less resistance when rotating, so use less energy and help to cut fuel consumption.

The Focus is one of the most technologically advanced cars on the road. It’s equipped with an array of state-of-the-art systems and features, to make every journey safer and more comfortable, efficient and more economical, easier and more exhilarating.

For instance, the two latest engines available on the Focus, one petrol and one diesel, are both class-leading for fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Torque Vectoring Control continuously balances power between the front wheels for exceptional grip, control and handling when you’re cornering. And Active Park Assist will automatically steer you into the tightest spaces, hands-free.

Tight parking space? Let the Focus steer itself in
Active Park Assist can steer you into parking spaces just 20% longer than the car. Simply push a button and the sensors of this innovative system will locate a big enough space as you pass it. Then it automatically steers you in, while all you have to do is operate the accelerator, gears and brake (following on-screen instructions and audible signals).

A safer kind of cruise control
Like normal cruise control, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)* lets you select and maintain your driving speed (from 15 mph to 115 mph**). What makes ACC safer is that whenever it detects a vehicle ahead, it slows your car down to ensure it stays a pre-set distance away. Once the road in front of you is clear again, your car reverts back to your selected speed.

ACC also features Forward Alert*, a monitoring system that warns you if you accidentally get too close to the vehicle in front.

A new, class-leading petrol engine that saves you 20% on fuel.
The new 1.0 litre EcoBoost is available with 100PS or 125PS and delivers the power you’d expect from a conventional 1.6 engine, but uses up to 20% less fuel. That means a considerable saving at the petrol pump. Its diesel-like fuel consumption is thanks to a fundamental re-engineering, resulting in a faster engine warm-up and reduced friction, among other benefits.

A new class-leading diesel engine that delivers 83.1mpg.
Its innovative 1.6 litre 115PS Duratorq TDCi diesel engine has helped make the new Focus the most fuel-efficient car in its class, achieving 83.1mpg. So you can look forward to rock bottom running costs. The engine also delivers class-leading CO2 emissions of just 88g/km. Both figures are due to a vast number of technical improvements, including a completely redesigned fuel injection system and turbocharger.

TDCi diesels. Now with improved power, torque and economy.
Both the frugal 1.6 litre TDCi and the powerful 2.0 litre TDCi diesel engines have seen a number of technical improvements to increase energy efficiency. That means higher performance but lower CO2 emissions.

Ford PowerShift gearbox. For more fun on less fuel.
Combining the convenience of an automatic with the control of a manual, this six-speed, dual-clutch automatic gearbox pre-selects the next gear for you, so you don’t lose any power when you change.

PowerShift’s lightning fast, seamless gear changes not only make driving smoother and more pleasurable, but also save fuel and lower CO2 emissions compared to a normal automatic.

This state-of-the-art technology even compensates if you find yourself in the wrong gear. For example, when you’re overtaking, it can drop a gear and give you the power to accelerate swiftly and the control to make a safe pass. The acclaimed Focus driving experience is now better than ever. Extensive development and continuous refinement have resulted in more grip, better control and sharper handling when you're cornering or braking.

A re-tuned rear suspension for an even better ride
The new Focus has a re-tuned set-up of the proven Control Blade multi-link rear suspension system. This delivers an improved ride, ultra-precise response and even greater feedback from the road, while also making the drive quieter.

Torque Vectoring Control for maximum grip
Torque Vectoring Control reacts to the road surface 100 times per second (that’s 33 times faster than the blink of an eye). Using this information, it repeatedly balances the amount of power and braking delivered to each of the two front wheels. This maximises grip and sharpens handling, helping you round corners and over undulations in the road. Torque Vectoring Control is a cutting-edge technology that comes as standard on new Focus models.

Alongside its range of improved engines, the all-new Focus has a number of intelligent features and innovative technologies that make it more economical to run.

Use up to 10% less fuel with Auto-Start-Stop
When the Focus is stationary, such as at traffic lights or idling in a queue, this technology automatically switches off the engine (while still supplying power to essentials like the air conditioning and radio). The moment you're ready to move, it restarts. It's ideal if you do most of your driving in town, as it can cut your fuel consumption by 10% (urban cycle).

A more economical way to re-charge your battery
Unlike conventional systems, Smart Regenerative Charging only charges the battery when it needs it, and when it’s most economical to do so. For instance, when you’re braking, the technology converts the force used into electrical energy, to help re-charge the battery while you're on the move. This can help save fuel and reduce emissions.

Unique grille shutter for increased economy
With the Active Grille Shutter system, the grille vent stays open to cool the engine when you’re driving slowly, but automatically closes when you pick up speed. The closed position improves aerodynamics, which can increase fuel economy by up to 0.8% on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC). Over time, it can make a big difference.

A light on the instrument panel tells you when to change gear for maximum fuel efficiency. It’s a simple but effective way to help make every journey more economical.

Front style
A large, lower trapezoid grille and small upper grille, both chrome-edged, are signature design elements of the Ford family. Grand C-MAX styling

EcoBoost petrol engine evolution
EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engines deliver more torque and power with 18% greater fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions of up to 18% compared to the 2.0-litre Duratec petrol engine. You'll enjoy the larger engine performance with the fuel economy of a much smaller unit.

Ford Duratorq diesel technology
Advanced engineering combines performance with outstanding fuel efficiency and low CO2 emissions. The 2.0-litre 140 PS Duratorq TDCi now delivers more power with even more refinement giving impressive fuel efficiency of 55.4 mpg (combined cycle) and CO2 emissions of just 139 g/km* (in the manual transmission C-MAX).

Ford PowerShift transmission

Seatbelt minder
The Grand C-MAX features a seatbelt minder system. It will alert the driver visually and audibly if seat belts are unfastened before you drive off or while you’re on the move.

Blind Spot Information System
This high-tech visual aid is available to help make journeys more relaxing, especially on motorways. As another vehicle enters your blind spot, the system alerts you by illuminating a warning light in the relevant door mirror.

Speed Limiter
Available as part of cruise control, this system lets you set your top speed between 19 to 70 mph. The engine management system ensures you keep within your set limit, helping you concentrate on the road ahead rather than the speedometer. (Standard on C-MAX and Grand C-MAX Titanium).

Overhead console
There's a sunglasses holder behind the interior mirror in the overhead console, which includes a child observation mirror. The Grand C-MAX has an additional overhead stowage locker for everyday items, such as maps.

Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Ford Convers+
This intuitive digital command centre helps you stay in complete control of many of the car’s systems. Featuring a standard, enhanced or Ford Convers+ cluster display, the HMI is operated by two steering wheel-mounted toggles for audio and vehicle settings. With the left toggle you can find and change radio stations or CD tracks, as well as set the volume. The right toggle switch controls the cluster display for vehicle settings and the trip computer. On the Ford Convers+ cluster display, the right toggle lets you scroll through MultiMedia lists, controlling the phone, radio, and CD player. An optional USB/MP3/iPod® connectivity port is also available.

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Forward Alert (FA)
With ACC you can automatically keep your chosen distance from the car in front. Should the car in front slow down and reduce the gap, your speed drops, too. And when traffic speeds up, you automatically return to cruising speed. Meanwhile, FA monitors your distance to the vehicle in front and if you drive too close, a warning noise and flashing light activate.

Adjustable Speed Limiting Device (ASLD)
This new driver assistance system is included as part of cruise control. ASLD is designed to help drivers avoid exceeding driver-selected speeds unintentionally – for example, staying within legal speed limits during long road trips. By using enhanced cruise control switches on the steering wheel, you can adjust your top speed limit, active from 19mph. Should you try to exceed that range, the engine management system intervenes to maintain your set speed limit.

Whether you need your car for work, leisure or family trips, the versatile S-MAX has plenty to offer. The third-row seats can easily accommodate two adults, providing room for up to seven adults. Electric Parking Brake (EPB)

Our class-leading range of turbo diesel engines is now joined in Ford S-MAX by the first of a new generation of high-efficiency Ford EcoBoost SCTi turbocharged petrol engines; these combine higher power and a broader spread of torque with reduced emissions and lower fuel consumption.

The new 1.6-litre 160 PS Ecoboost engine, with Auto-Start-Stop has 240Nm of torque but delivers 159 g/km of CO2 but with fuel economy of 41.5 mpg (Combined)

The range-topping 2.0-litre EcoBoost SCTi delivers 240 PS, with fuel consumption of only 8.3 l/100 km (34.0 mpg) (combined), reducing CO2 emissions by up to 20% (CO2 emissions are 194 g/km).

Ford Duratorq TDCi Diesel engines
Our diesel engines range from the new 1.6-litre 115 PS TDCi diesel engine, with Auto-Start-Stop has 270 Nm of torque (290 with Overboost) but delivers 139 g/km of CO2 and culminates in the awesome 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi (200 PS) – currently the largest and most powerful diesel engine available in any of our cars. The transient overboost is available on 2.0 TDCi and 2.2 TDCi, providing that essential extra power when overtaking.

Interactive Vehicle Dynamics Control (IVDC) with Continuous Controlled Damping (CCD)
IVDC delivers notable improvements to handling, stability and braking performance. Each damper is adjusted five times per second to guarantee the best possible occupant comfort and road contact. You can also switch between suspension modes – sport, normal and comfort – as the mood takes you.

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with Traction Assist (TA) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
ESP with TA monitors the rotation of the wheels, as well as the steering wheel angle, yaw angle and sideways movement. If the sensors detect either the front or rear tyres slipping, the onboard computer modifies the engine power and applies the brakes to individual wheels. This provides an enhanced traction control function by reducing engine torque if the wheels spin when you accelerate. Your ability to pull away on slippery roads or loose surfaces is therefore improved while your driving safety is enhanced.

EBA ensures full braking force is available whenever necessary, helping reduce stopping distances in an emergency. And, should you need to brake heavily, the Emergency Brake Warning repeatedly flashes the rear brake lights to alert other drivers.

Blind Spot Information System
This high-tech visual aid is designed to make longer journeys a far more relaxing experience. As another vehicle enters your blind spot, the system alerts you with a discreet warning lamp built into the driver’s door mirror.

You can choose the generation of high-efficiency EcoBoost turbocharged petrol engines for the Mondeo, as a 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre version. Both deliver better performance with more torque at all engine speeds while reducing CO2 emissions and improving fuel efficiency.

The 1.6-litre 160 PS EcoBoost petrol engine gives CO2 emissions of only 158 g/km. Its direct injection, variable valve timing and turbocharging technology give the performance of a larger engine with the fuel economy and lower CO2benefits of a smaller engine. The higher performance 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine delivers 203 PS, with fuel consumption of only36.7mpg (combined). With no compromise to driving enjoyment, 203PS has CO2 emissions of just 179 g/km.

Adjustable Speed Limiter
This system integrates with cruise control, working with simplicity to keep you within your pre-determined speed limit. An ergonomically placed switch on the steering wheel lets you adjust your top speed limit and provides peace of mind you will not exceed this – particularly useful when travelling in speed camera areas. The system can be deliberately deactivated by cancelling the function or sharply depressing the accelerator pedal should the need arise.

Lane Departure Warning
Using an ingenious forward-facing camera this tactile and visual alert triggers when the driver changes lanes without indicating. Three short vibrations are sent through the steering wheel, while a warning light is displayed in the instrument cluster. (Option as part of Driver Assistance Packs)

Auto High Beam
Switches the headlights from high beam to low beam as soon as the system detects oncoming traffic or a pre-defined lighting level. Conversely, it detects the road is clear before automatically switching back to high beam. (Option as part of Driver Assistance Packs).

Driver Alert
Continuously analyses the driver's level of vigilance by assessing direction of travel and vehicle behaviour. When the system calculates the driver's attention falls below a certain level, it will display a 'take a break' message in the instrument cluster. If it detects a more sudden loss of attention, such as drifting across a lane, a warning chime and additional visual alerts warn the driver (Option as part of Driver Assistance Packs).

Touchscreen Navigation PLUS system
The crown jewel in the centre console, this system is the ultimate in navigation, connectivity and touch-screen convenience and clarity. Being an integrated system, it responds to real-time road speed and the latest traffic conditions to deliver more accurate estimated arrival times and trip information.

It has an Intelligent all-wheel drive system, which instantly reacts to different kinds of terrain and driving conditions. Off-road or on, this gives you remarkable grip and complete control, even on ice, sand or very wet surfaces. As it’s an ‘on demand’ system, you don’t even have to turn it on – it activates automatically, whenever you need it.

For instant grip on changing terrain
The Kuga’s Intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD) system uses proven Haldex technology to instantly react and adjust to changing terrain. It sends precisely the right amount of power to the individual wheels that need the most grip. As the system is ‘on demand’, it only activates when it’s needed, which saves fuel when the road is less challenging.

Cruise control makes longer drives more relaxed
Using steering wheel-mounted toggles, you can easily set the speed you want. The system then maintains that speed, so there’s no need to keep your foot on the accelerator. To go faster or slower, you simply use the same manual controls. Cruise control is standard on the Titanium range.

Power-assisted steering that uses less power
The Kuga has electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) that automatically adjusts to suit the situation. When you’re driving at low speeds or parking, it makes wheel turns feel lighter and easier, giving you greater manoeuvrability. When you need greater control and confidence at higher speeds, EPAS makes the steering firmer. Unlike most systems, which are continuously on, EPAS only activates when needed. So it uses less energy, further improving fuel economy.

A rear-view mirror that stops you being dazzled
At night, you drive more safely when you’re not constantly dazzled by the lights of the vehicles behind. The innovateve auto-dimming rear-view mirror automatically detects headlight glare and switches to a dimmed setting.

Touchscreen Navigation makes sure you get there
The Kuga’s Touchscreen Navigation system features a 7” full colour display with map and turn-by-turn spoken instructions to your destination, as well as a CD/MP3 system with six speakers. Choose the Touchscreen Navigation PLUS option and you get eight premium speakers, a rear-view camera to make parking easier and safer, as well as heated front seats.

Set one temperature for you, another for your passenger
Your passenger likes it warm, but you prefer it cooler. The solution? Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC). This option lets you set the temperature with up to 4°C difference between your zone and your front passengers. Rear passengers have their own adjustable ventilation to keep them comfortable too. (Standard on Titanium)

Panorama roof for a brighter, more spacious feel
The Kuga’s optional panorama roof lets natural light flood in. It also gives your passengers a great view of the sky and scenery outside. The roof’s solar-reflective coating should stop you getting too hot but, if necessary, you can use the integral blind to keep out virtually all the sun’s rays.

From the elevated height of your sculpted driving seat, you’ll enjoy a clear view of the terrain or traffic ahead. It makes you feel even more confident behind the wheel.

Extra comfort with adjustable, heated seats
Whatever the conditions outside, you’ll always be comfortable in a Kuga. To keep you warm even in the most severe weather, you can choose optional heated front seats. To make sure everyone is in the most relaxed position for travel, you can also add electrically adjustable front seats.

Flat load floor
The Kuga offers the flexibility for the most demanding of loads. The second row of seating has a 60:40 split and folds flat, while underseat stowage creates even more space. There’s also further stowage available under the floor of the luggage compartment. As a result, in two-seat mode you’ve a generous 1,405 litres of loadspace, while in five-seat mode the luggage compartment offers up to 410 litres. With a flat floor and no sill, it’s also much easier to load and unload heavy items.

A more intuitive instrument panel
The Kuga’s controls are perfectly positioned, so they’re more intuitive to use. Thanks to the warm red light that’s been added to the instrument cluster, it’s also easier to see and kinder on the eyes at night.

Luxurious leather trim option
The Kuga’s interior trim comes in a variety of colours and soft-touch materials. The finest is the meticulously crafted leather option, which you’ll find luxuriously comfortable and available on the Titanium X range.

Self-protecting electric wing mirrors
To avoid accidental damage, power-foldable heated mirrors fold inwards when you’re parked (and when you use the mirror adjustment switch). Tucked back, they also protect the integrated indicators.

The Kuga lights your way to your door
When you arrive home at night, just use a switch on the steering wheel stalk to activate the Kuga’s Home Safe headlights. They’ll stay on for 30 seconds, lighting the way to your front door.

Wipers that automatically adjust to the rain
Rain-sensing wipers spring into action the instant they detect moisture on your windscreen, then adjust their speed to deal with whatever the weather throws at you. You can also choose from six sensitivity levels, which determine how much moisture builds up before the wipers engage. Rain-sensing wipers are available as an option with auto-headlights (see below).

Headlights that turn on automatically when needed
The Kuga has sensors that detect failing light and trigger the auto-headlights to turn themselves on, making driving at dusk both easier and safer. They also turn on automatically when you enter a tunnel. Auto-headlights are available as an option with rain-sensing wipers (see above).

Two convenient ways into the boot
The Kuga’s split tailgate gives you two practical ways to access the rear. For larger items of luggage, you simply open the main boot as normal. But if you have something smaller, you open the upper section only. That way, other contents are less likely to fall out and they’re better protected from prying eyes too.

A choice of high-powered diesel engines
Both diesel engines deliver plenty of power. There’s a 2.0-litre TDCi diesel (140 PS) Duratorq engine with 6-speed manual transmission, which provides high levels of torque at low revs (340 Nm at 2,000 rpm). Alternatively, the 163 PS 2.0-litre diesel is more than capable of overcoming the most difficult off-road conditions.

Unlike most four-wheel-drive vehicles, Kuga’s intelligent AWD system continuously analyses driving conditions and automatically decides how much power each wheel needs to suit the road or overcome the terrain. The result is best-in-class on-road performance and handling, as well as excellent off-road capability. Our engineers have also tailored every aspect of Kuga’s ride to give class-leading handling, braking and steering performance.
